Deuteronomy 6:6, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Time: From September into May we hold weekly Catechism classes after the morning worship service.   We train our children using Scripture and the Heidelberg Catechism.  Three times a year our elders visit the classes to see how our children our progressing.             We have five classes.   For the 2016-2017 year, our preschoolers will study various Biblical accounts from the book of Genesis through the book of Acts.             Our kindergarten through second graders will study what it means to be saved by Jesus, to follow Jesus, and the powerful acts of God.             Our third through fourth graders will study the specifics of God’s love in Jesus and the life changing power of the Holy Spirit.             Our fifth through eight graders will study the identity of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the church. Our high school students will study Knowing God by JI Packer and Why We Love the Church by Kevin DeYoung and Ted Kluck. It is our hope that our children graduate from Catechism with a well-rounded knowledge of Reformed doctrine and its connection to life.
